Yarra Valley Gourmet Foods Goes Green for St Patrick’s Day
One could ask why we celebrate St Patrick’s Day in Australia? It’s a good excuse to feed your foodie fetish – so we figure “Why NOT!” What originally began as a day of religious and cultural commemoration, in Ireland, has now become a world-recognised day that sees St Pat’s Day as any excuse to parade, party, feast and sip the odd green ginger beer – and it’s all about the colour green as well! The Chicago River in the US is currently green to honour our Irish friends, and we, personally, did a little dance around our very own Yarra Valley Gourmet Foods organic garden (and warehouse) to find a home-grown selection of green foods and products to share with you.
